Damn Good Caprese Salad

~ 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 large ripe tomatoes (heirloom or vine-ripened)

  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced

  • A handful of fresh basil leaves

  • 3–4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1–2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)

  • Flaky sea salt

  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Slice the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella into even slices, about 1/4 inch thick. Arrange them on a plate or platter, alternating between slices of tomato, mozzarella, and basil leaves.

  2. Lightly drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salad. If using, drizzle the balsamic glaze lightly across the top. Sprinkle generously with flaky sea salt and a touch of freshly cracked black pepper.
