Stuffed Banana Peppers
Ingredients:
6 banana peppers, halved and cored
8oz cream cheese, softened
1 tsp each: dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder
Pinch red pepper flakes
Salt to taste
1/2 cup each: Panko and Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp melted butter (or olive oil)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, and seasonings until combined.
Add the breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese to a separate bowl with the butter or olive oil and stir to combine.
Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the halved banana peppers, filling them generously.
Place the stuffed peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the stuffed peppers.
Bake for around 20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
